Ernakulam-Delhi non-stop “Duronto” express train flagged off

Minister of State for Railways E Ahamed flagged-off the inaugural special of Ernakulam-Nizamuddin weekly non-stop ‘Duronto’ from Ernakulam Junction.The regular service of ‘Duronto’ express will commence on March 13 from Nizamuddin and from Ernakulam it will start on March 16.
The new Duronto Express 2283 will have 17 coaches and will ply on all Tuesdays from Ernakulam at 11.30 pm and reach Nizambuddin at 7.30 in the night. Train No 2284 Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Duronto Express will leave Nizamuddin on Saturdays at 9.35 pm and reach Ernakulam at 3.30 pm on Monday. The route is via Konkan.

The journey will take only 44 hrs!!

The train does not have any stops between and is equipped with latest toilets, pantry car, two guards, First AC, Second AC and four 3-tier Acs.

Ticket Fare:   First AC = Rs.4750/-, Second AC = Rs.2970/-, 3Tier AC=Rs.2290/-, Sleeper = Rs.885/-   Check with Indian Railway for the exact Rates.
